Welcome back!
I hope you have all had a lovely holiday and a happy Eid. The children looked wonderful in their Eid outfits. Housain, Tasmin and Noori looked absolutely fabulous!
We are all looking forward to this half term which, as always will be packed full with lots of fun learning.
This week in literacy we are learning about playscripts and on Thursday we will be creating our own, so start coming up with those ideas in preparation!

This week we have been creating story openings. The stories were set in the Rainforest and consisted of two characters; Debra the Zebra and Zion the Lion who went in search of treasure. Well done to all of 3 Lilac who worked extremely hard on their work and particularly to Ayesha B who created this fantastic piece of work:

The Unlikely Friends
The sun’s long rays reached through the rainforest to the cave hidden under the waterfall. The waterfall was dazzling, cascading down in a creamy, frothy colour. The tropical flowers shone brightly, their scent penetrating the surrounding air. Bugs were flying everywhere, darting in and out of the pea green leaves. Colourful parrots chattered away . It was at this point that Debra the Zebra and Zion the lion walked out of the cave chatting away.” Hello Zion and how are you today ?” Asked Debra the Zebra.
” I ‘m fine shall we go and get something eat ?” Replied Zion.
” Oh look a poster, “ cried Debra the Zebra.
“Let’s read to find out what it’s about,” suggested Zion the

Buenas Tardes a todos los madres y padres,
ask your children what this means, they should all know after working so hard in Spanish this half term.
They also know the words Hola, adios, buenas dias, buenas noches, hasta luego and can asnwer the questions como te llamas? and que tal?
They have also been very lucky because this morning there wa s anew member of their class, he is called Rodrigo and he has come all the way from Barcelona, make sure you ask your child all about him.
Wishing you all a great half term and for those who have been fasting a very happy Eid.

Welcome to 3 Lilac's Blog!
Last Friday we went to the Royal Albert Hall and watched a variety of different music. The music ranged from a full orchestra to choirs and a Barber Shop Quartet. However, it was the Steel Drum Band playing music from the Caribbean that 3 Lilac found the most impressive. They managed to play 2 pieces of music completely from memory and their youngest member was only 8 years old!
